Hello, I’m Debbie Schulte — a lifelong learner with a deep love for the land, natural health, and simple living. For as long as I can remember, it’s been my passion to study healthier soils, cleaner foods, and the many ways we can live more self-sufficiently. I also love sharing what I learn with others, because knowledge only grows when it’s passed along.
Over the years, I’ve watched how modern life has pulled us away from the earth and the wisdom that used to guide everyday living. Between industrial food systems and big-pharma influence, it’s easy to feel like we’ve lost our connection to what’s real. But I believe this is a time to return — to listen, plant, harvest, and rebuild that relationship with nature, whether it’s through a backyard garden, a few herbs on a windowsill, or a small farm like ours.
🌻 Our Life on the Farm
My husband and I have been married since 1989, and we’ve raised five children and now have seven wonderful grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. Life has been full of seasons — some busy, some quiet — but each one has deepened my gratitude for family, home, and the freedom to grow what we need. I’m thankful I was able to stay home to raise our kids, and while it wasn’t always easy financially, it was absolutely worth it.
These days, you’ll often find me in the garden, tending raspberries and fruit trees, or working on small projects around our property — expanding our greenhouse, improving the soil, and preparing new growing areas for next year’s season. I’ve also been nurturing my love of photography, experimenting with filters and textures to turn everyday farm scenes into art that captures the simple beauty of country life.
When I’m not in the garden or the pasture, I’m watching grandchildren, designing nature-inspired art and journals for my Etsy shop, or writing about the quiet lessons animals and the land teach us.
🌱 Why I Share
My goal is to help others rediscover what many of us grew up knowing — that there’s peace and strength in being able to care for yourself and your family. Learning how to grow, make, and mend brings confidence, independence, and joy. Relying too much on outside systems can leave us feeling helpless, but reconnecting with the rhythms of the earth restores balance and hope.
💛 Looking Ahead
I’m excited about the journey ahead — growing our garden, creating new handmade and digital projects, connecting with others who share these values, and continuing to learn every day. Whether you’re drawn here for natural living tips, recipes, farm updates, or simply a sense of peace and purpose, I’m so glad you’re here.

Be well,
